Lowe Art Museum: it’s actually located on the campus of the University of Miami so you’ll get double duty when you check out this collection. With decades of displays and over 5,000 pieces of art you won’t be disappointed.
Wolfsonian Art Museum: It’s right on the beach (can’t beat that view) and it’s focused on modern art, pre millienial. If you’re looking for some real Miami flare, this is the museum for you.
Bass Museum of Art: You won’t believe all the odd cultural treasures to be found at the Bass museum, from relics to rugs to anything in between. It’s also on the beach and admission’s cheap – don’t forget to hit up this tiny local favorite.
Miami is a wonderful city for someone who is interested in enjoying the arts. It is filled with opportunities to enjoy fine art. If you happen to find yourself in Miami and you want to see some interesting art exhibits, look no further than Miami’s Wynwood art district. Every city you visit you are guranteed to beautiful sculptures, murals and other forms of public art. Miami is rich in public art. Miami is a great place to go look for art.
For example there is the Challenger Memorial located in Bayfront Park. The challenger memorial is a white tower made out of metal pipe that is about 100 feet tall. The sculpure is dedicated to the memory of the Challenger astronauts and makes appears to look like a double helix DNA molecule and the twisting contrails of NASA’s doomed spacecraft.
