Every city you visit you are guranteed to beautiful sculptures, murals and other forms of public art. Miami is rich in public art. Miami is a great place to go look for art.
For example there is the Challenger Memorial located in Bayfront Park. The challenger memorial is a white tower made out of metal pipe that is about 100 feet tall. The sculpure is dedicated to the memory of the Challenger astronauts and makes appears to look like a double helix DNA molecule and the twisting contrails of NASA’s doomed spacecraft. The artist of this sculpture was Isamu Noguchi. Another form of public art in Miami is at the station house in the matrorail. The author Fernando Garcia made purple by combining 108 pieces of blue and red neon light which alternately fade and brighten every 30 seconds to make purple! Three skylights in the station house hold these artistic lights!
Those were just a few of the works of art in Miami. There is also the Terrors and Delights of the Sea and The Optical Illusion. The best way to experience this art isn’t reading about it, so head out to Miami and witness the art for yourself!
