There are a lot of things to think about when you live in Miami: the tide, your ADT in Miami, whether or not you’re going to get stuck in trafficwhy not take a time out and enjoy one of the city’s best public arts exhibits? Aside from the many sculpture gardens Miami has some great museums, toohere are a few of our favorites:
Lowe Art Museum: it’s actually located on the campus of the University of Miami so you’ll get double duty when you check out this collection. With decades of displays and over 5,000 pieces of art you won’t be disappointed.
Wolfsonian Art Museum: It’s right on the beach (can’t beat that view) and it’s focused on modern art, pre millienial. If you’re looking for some real Miami flare, this is the museum for you.
Bass Museum of Art: You won’t believe all the odd cultural treasures to be found at the Bass museum, from relics to rugs to anything in between. It’s also on the beach and admission’s cheap – don’t forget to hit up this tiny local favorite.

Miami is a wonderful city for someone who is interested in enjoying the arts. It is filled with opportunities to enjoy fine art. If you happen to find yourself in Miami and you want to see some interesting art exhibits, look no further than Miami’s Wynwood art district. The Wynwood area has been Miami’s hotbed of art, fashion and culture for several years. This area contains roughly 70 galleries and museums.

Any time is a good time to check the art district out. But, if you get the opportunity, the second Saturday of each month is definitely the best time. On this particular Saturday, Miami holds a community art walk in the Wynwood art district. It is a great chance to enjoy different types of art from most of the galleries, along with refreshments and music. The art walk is something that everyone who comes to Miami should try to attend. Anyone who loves art and is planning a trip to this vibrant city should make it a point to at least visit the area if not attend the art walk.

Some of the notable galleries are; the Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts Gallery, the Dorsch Gallery, Praxis International Art, and the Sammer Gallery. These are just a few of 70 galleries that you should try to visit when going to Miami.Keep looking, there’s more: Art Exhibition: Rosario Bond’s “All about Me, A Solo Show”

Every city you visit you are guranteed to beautiful sculptures, murals and other forms of public art. Miami is rich in public art. Miami is a great place to go look for art.

For example there is the Challenger Memorial located in Bayfront Park. The challenger memorial is a white tower made out of metal pipe that is about 100 feet tall. The sculpure is dedicated to the memory of the Challenger astronauts and makes appears to look like a double helix DNA molecule and the twisting contrails of NASA’s doomed spacecraft. The artist of this sculpture was Isamu Noguchi. Another form of public art in Miami is at the station house in the matrorail. The author Fernando Garcia made purple by combining 108 pieces of blue and red neon light which alternately fade and brighten every 30 seconds to make purple! Three skylights in the station house hold these artistic lights!

Those were just a few of the works of art in Miami. There is also the Terrors and Delights of the Sea and The Optical Illusion. The best way to experience this art isn’t reading about it, so head out to Miami and witness the art for yourself!

There are many beautiful places in Miami and great things to do. You can go to the beach and enjoy the sun. You can go shopping at one of the popular stores in downtown Miami. You can enjoy a wonderful meal at one of the many local restaurants. One of the best things to do in Miami, however, is to enjoy the art scene. There are many music clubs, art museums, and special exhibits in Miami that make Miami a wonderful hub for art and culture.

From the moment you step foot into Miami, meaning even the airport, you can enjoy the art scene. Miami International Airport, interestingly enough, has a beautiful collection of art including mosaics, photographs, murals and paintings. Miami does a great job of attracting people to the art scene the very first moment the touch down on the ground.

Another great place to go to enjoy the arts in Miami is to enjoy Viernes Culturales/Cultural Fridays Gallery Walk. This is a gallery walk in Miami where you can stroll from gallery to gallery enjoying the latest artist and seeing new and upcoming pieces. These galleries change every week, so it is a new flavor each week.

There are many fun things to do in Miami, but don’t miss out on the art!

Miami is an art lover’s paradise. If you ever find yourself in the area, then make sure to include visiting fine art galleries in your itinerary. The large universities of Miami have brought many young artists to the city with attractive fine arts programs. Many of these talented artists remain in Miami after graduation. New art galleries are popping up all the time to accommodate the increase in available art to display and sell.

Finding an art walk to join is not going to be difficult in Miami. The Design District continually sponsors art walks to make it easier for groups to tour galleries. Many galleries offer student discounts for those who attend the local universities. For those who are just beginning to find an interest in fine art, an art walk is an excellent way to introduce yourself to other art enthusiasts and become acquainted with the local galleries.

No matter if you are a resident or a visitor to Miami, you’ll want to make time to explore the fine arts scene. The beautiful weather and the broad spectrum of residents lends itself to creating artistic diversity. From painting to sketching to three dimensional works of art, Miami art galleries have it all.
